UW Tacoma Services and Activities Fee
The Services and Activities Fee (the “S&A” Fee) is authorized by state statute for the express purpose of funding student activities and programs. The Services and Activities Fee paid by students for the 2016-2017 academic year is $159 per quarter. Part-time students’ S&A Fees are pro-rated; Full-time students pay the entire fee.
Services and Activities Fee Committee
The Services and Activities Fee Committee (SAFC) reviews all requests for funding from Services and Activities fees, recommends program priorities and budget levels, and serves in an advisory capacity to the Chancellor of the UW Tacoma campus. The committee includes seven students recommended by the Associated Students of the University of Washington Tacoma (ASUWT), four non-voting ex officio members and a compliance officer.
The Services and Activities Fee Committee (SAFC) is a student-led committee responsible for the annual allocation of approximately $2,000,000 in student fees. This committee currently has all seats filled for the 2016-2017 year.
